A Sign of the Times -- CSSA Once Again Selected
As Best State Association by ISS Readers
Four out of five. That is successful math for anybody. And four of the last five years the California Self Storage Association has been selected as the Best State Association in the Inside Self-Storage readers poll. The 2015 voting result was recently announced and the CSSA’s selection means it has claimed the award in 2011, 2012, 2014, and now this year.
It is a sign of the times that the CSSA’s efforts are so regularly recognized, says CSSA executive director Erin King.
“We wouldn’t be recognized with this award on such a regular basis if we weren’t doing things right,” said King. “We do think we understand the current state of self storage very well and make every effort to educate and help our members to be as modern and effective as possible. Our success in the ISS voting certainly suggests that voters feel that way, too.”
The ISS Best of Business Award winners were announced July 31, and they will be highlighted in the November print edition of ISS magazine. The winners will also be honored with a special commemorative plaque at the Inside Self-Storage World Expo in Las Vegas, in 2016.
“Being recognized by the industry means a great deal to us here at the CSSA,” added King. “We know that there are a number of great state associations out there, so being picked as the top one gives us a sense of pride, as well as the knowledge that to stay on top we have to keep improving on what we do.”
The CSSA is among the most active and involved state associations in the country. It’s efforts to gain favorable self storage legislation, to educate its members on the latest trends in the industry and to hold special gatherings from one end of California to the other contribute to its reputation as one of the best state associations in the USA.
“Many thanks to ISS and the voters for this recognition,” added King. “There are some awards that you never get tired of winning and this certainly is one of them. Believe me, we’re doing as much as we can for our members and the self storage industry in California, awards or no awards."
