“THE DRIVE FOR SUCCESS”
OFFERS SELF STORAGE OWNER/OPERATORS AND MANAGERS A BETTER WAY
It is a given that most business leaders would rather jump into an active volcano than share company secrets. But such is not the case in the world of self storage, where the spirit of generosity prevails. It is also a given that knowledge is power, so the California Self Storage Association (CSSA) has brought together the industry’s spirit of generosity with its willingness to share winning information in the book “The Drive for Success: Self-Storage Best Practices.”
“The Drive for Success” is a follow-up to the successful “Greetings from California; Best Practices of the California Self Storage Association” publication and offers pieces written by some of the best and brightest minds in the industry. It takes what was written in “Greetings from California” and expands to include the latest trends, technological advances and pieces on how best to succeed in the industry in these changing times.
“Just when you think you know everything about marketing a facility, somebody else comes along with a better idea,” says Erin King, Executive Director of the CSSA. “Such is the nature of our industry that things are always changing. Our goal with this book is to bring things up-to-date and cover a wide range of topics that will help owner/operators and managers improve their businesses.”
Topics in the book include: Planning For Self-Storage In Your Community (The How, Where, What, And Why Of Self Storage); Performance Exam (Reading Your Store’s Vital Signs); Playing Ball With The Pros (How To Compete In The Big Leagues); Resident Managers (An Owner/Operator Perspective); The Millennial Mindset (How To Get Through To The Tech-Savvy Generation); Seller Strategies (Today’s Market Conditions for Self Storage Owners) and Storage Lien Auctions. The book’s features authors like Dean Keller, Steve Mirabito, Barry Hoeven, Pam Domingue, Natolie Ochi, Kimberly Siclari and Chelsea Horne, among others.
“The CSSA is proud to make this publication available to self storage professionals and many thanks go out to our contributors for sharing their expertise,” King added. “A special thanks also goes to MiniCo Inc. for helping us organize and get the book into print.”
The book is $24.95 and is currently available for purchase. It also is available to anyone – a person doesn’t have to be a CSSA member to purchase it. It can be bought here: http://www.ministoragemessenger.com/cart/products/3290-The-Drive-For-Success-brSelf-Storage-Best-Practices/
